We only use it to print out our cd,s. It is very slow doing this task taking nearly a minute for each cd but it does a very good job. Have used it to print a few documents and found it very fast. Had no problems with it as yet soif you want a printer for your cd,s this is the one to go for.

I bought this printer coz i had the precurser of this(EPSON STYLUS PHOTO R285)and that was the dogs nadgers
the pictures printed by it are the best you can get,but i mainly got it for the disc printing(wich is great and easy with the software included)
BUT dont be fooled into buying the very costly epson inks(get some refillable cartridges ar a good CISS from AMAZON or a local PC fair)i have and use both)if not,then compatables are cheep on AMAZON.
so buy it and ENJOY it

This is a good printer. Two pieces of advice. When you buy this printer, make sure you buy a six pack of cartridges with it. The multipack one. The enclosed cartridges will just charge up the nozzle heads, when they have done that, they are empty. Also make sure you have a USB cable at home to connect the printer to the computer. It is not supplied. I found the settings of this printer a challenge after the Epson Stylus Photo R340. This machine was bought mainly for photography and I like to have my own settings, this is possible with this printer, but very differently to the R340. I am happy with the results so far, just it takes some getting used to.

I have just purchased the Epson P50 to replace my Epson R300 that gave me excellant service for over 6 years. Epson are the leading company where printers are concerned and I had no doubt that the P50 I chose would not let me down. The quality of photo I expect from my printer has to be high. The P50 ticks all the boxes.
I read on one report that one customer was unable to use his printer because he had the Microsoft XP. I had no trouble connecting to my computer with the Microsoft XP programm.

This modern and reliable printer is despatched with a full set of the 6 inks needed and is easy to install after a fiddley bit of unpacking! There seems to be tape everywhere but at least it prevents damage in transit.
Installation took only a couple of minutes following the detailed instructions and it was up and running.
The quality of print is excellent and it is fast too. I have previously run an R300 and this is a very worthwhile replacement. Photo quality is easily as good as the R300 and it is very quiet in operation. I would recommend this printer especially to people who are printing photographs.
It shows the remaining levels while it is printing which is helpful too.
I have found that it is easily capable of printing on fairly weighty papers, I have been able to print on card about 200 micron thick or 260 gsm weight.
A very good all-round printer at a reasonable cost.
