Nice easy to set up photo printer. Haven't used it yet to print off photos, just straight forward printing which is nice and clear. Nice and small on corner of my desk. Doesn't scan or photocopy but does me fine.

My iP 1600 gave up the ghost after 5 years of use.Well actually it was working but was dragging three sheets of paper through at a time.Then it would only print alternate sheets.Then it had the habit of printing one sheet and the second one would get caught up and mangled halfway.So after seeing the reviews for the iP2600 I ordered one and it was delivered in two days.
I've just set it up.This was an easy task on Windows XP.Took about 10 mins.
I've just printed off a few test sheets.It's a bit noisy and clattery,like the iP1600 but I'd got used to that.However the print speed is faster and good quality.
Haven't tried colour yet but I'm not too worried as I don't print my own photos and mainly use it for B&W docs with the occasional Multimap.
Also as my desk space is limited it fits nicely on top.The footprint is about the same as the old printer.

We bought this printer for my 85 year old father-in-law who does minimum printing, so we wanted something cheap, basic and easy to operate just to print off text documents. And it does this job very well. Very easy to set up, simple instructions and produces good copies. As usual with all printers these days, the replacement ink is often the most expensive item, but we have come to live with this fact! So if you want a basic, workman-like product without all the trimmings of printers far more expensive, you won't go wrong with this one.

I am very happy with performance of this printer which is at budget end of pricing and does not have complicated operation. It is not any more noisy than my previous Canon model and it printed out some photos very clearly. The cost of cartridges could be a problem for high usage so I tried a substitute black one but the printer does not recognise the substitute installation and indicated empty after a very short time .I have reverted to Canon cartridges and now do not print anything which is not completely necessary.

Bought as a replacement for my old Canon i350. Just as simple to use but more stylish, faster and quieter. For the price the print quality is good. I also liked the software, as well as the photo editing you can create calenders and albums. Only had it a few months so cannot comment on reliability but so far no problems.
